Collection of GPS routes 7 Vallons

The Syndicat d'Initiatives du Pays des 7 Vallons has created 12 little hiking routes in an area that is situated in the south of department Aveyron, in the corner between the rivers Tarn and Rance, west of the Parc Naturel Régional des Grands Causses. In the centre you will find the beautiful, old villages Coupiac and Plaisance. The hills reach until 650 meter, the valleys until 250 meter above sea level. This site offers GPS routes of five of the walks. The routes are also suitable for horsemen and mountain bike riders.

Routes

• 7 Vallons 01 Brasc

  10 km 000 m

  • Au pays des 7 vallons - Sentier de Brasc
  • Descent from Brasc, via the hamlets le Mas de Gély, le Guiraldou and le Roc, to the south bank of the river Tarn. At the village Saint-Dalmazy starts the climb back, via the hamlet la Borie de Cazalou, first to the little village Senils. De route continues relatively flat over the plateau, with beautiful views over the Tarn valley and other surrounding valleys, back to the church in Brasc.
    
    Tip! Wie liever begint met klimmen en eindigt met dalen, kan starten in Saint-Dalmazy. De auto kan eventueel worden geparkeerd op het weggetje naar le Roc, de plek is gemarkeerd met een wegpunt.

• 7 Vallons 02 La Bastide

  • Au pays des 7 vallons - Sentier de La Bastide
  • Rondwandeling rond La Bastide-Solages. De wandeling gaat over de helling en door het dal van de Rance. In het dal ligt ook het prachtige oude gehucht La Bastide. Terug op de heuvel bij Solages, prachtige uitzichten over de Tarn vallei.

• 7 Vallons 10 Suc d'Armont

  • Au pays des 7 vallons - Sentier du Suc d'Armont
  • Circular walk south east of Plaisance. Hundred meter after the bridge over the river Gos the route starts over a path on the slope of the river Rance to Frayssines. The route climbs further via Massebirot and la Rouquette close to the de top of the Suc d'Armont, with 646 meter the highest point of the municipality of Plaisance. Next the route descends via Vergnette into the Gos valley. You reach the Gos at la Fon del Mas. Via a path on the bank of the Gos the route returns to the start.

• 7 Vallons 11 Saint Laurent

  • Au pays des 7 vallons - Sentier de Saint Laurent
  • Rondwandeling ten noorden van Plaisance. De route voert over een smal bospad omhoog, via de gehuchten La Borie en Lamayous (Les Mayous) en het dal van de bovenstroom van de Ruisseau de Lamayous naar Saint Laurent.
    Vervolgens daalt de route van de hellingen van Le Mousse, een grotere beek, die door het prachtige plaatsje Coupiac naar de Rance stroomt. Via de gehuchtjes Camboussières, le Mazet, la Barre en la Pilande wordt bij het gehucht Mialet het dal van de Rance bereikt. Na een korte steile klim, komt de route, met prachtig uitzicht op Plaisance, terug bij het startpunt.

• 7 Vallons 12 Saint Juéry

  09 km 000 m

  • Au pays des 7 vallons - Sentier de Saint Juéry
  • Circular walk south and east of Saint Juéry. Shortly after the start the route decends to the brook valley of La Graviére and follows the brook for couple of kilometers. Next the route climbs to the hill. It reaches the highest point at the D90, which it follows a short distance. After descending into the Gos-valley, the route climbs back to Saint Juéry.
