Hiking in the Pyrenees

The Pyrenees are a mountain range in Southwestern Europe on both sides of the border between Spain and France. The dwarf state of Andorra, which borders both France and Spain, is located entirely in the Pyrenees. The mountain range stretches for about 430 kilometres, from the Bay of Biscay in the west to the Mediterranean Sea in the east. The mountain range has 129 peaks with a height of 3000 meters or more. The highest mountain in the chain is the Aneto (3404 meters), located in the extreme northeast of the Spanish Aragon. [source: Dutch wikipedia page "Pyreneeën" dated July 31, 2023]
