Hiking in the Sierra de Béjar

The Sierra de Béjar is a mountain range on the border of the autonomous communities of Castilla y León and Extremadura. It is part of the Central System and is located between the Sierra de Francia to the west and the Sierra de Gredos to the east. The highest point is Canchal de la Ceja (2429m) in the Sierra de Candelario subzone. Directly north of this is the famous ski resort of La Covatilla with Canchal Negro (2368m) as the highest peak.
