Hiking in the Sierra de Gata

The Sierra de Gata is a mountain range on the border of the autonomous regions of Castile and León and Extremadura. It is part of the Central System and lies between the Sierra de Malcata (Portugal) in the west and the Sierra de Francia in the northeast. The highest point is the Peña Canchera (1592m). Other famous peaks are the Bolla (1519m) and the Jálama (1492m).
