Circular walk, 5 km
From the parking lot, cross the road and walk through Le Bois de Païolive. This forest consists mainly of oaks with unique rock formations created by erosion. You first walk to the Ermitage Saint-Eugène (IX, 1994), which can be seen from a distance. Then you arrive at a viewpoint. You look out over a wide valley with the village of Chassagnes, vineyards, fields, and the Chassezac River.
The walk continues through the forest to the next viewpoint, La Corniche. There you again have a view of Le Chassezac, which flows through a narrow gorge with vertical rock walls. From La Corniche, you walk through the forest back to the parking lot.
