Calvi: Punta Revellata

Circular walk on the Revellata peninsula, with trips to the highest point of the Capo Belloni and to the station for submarine and oceanographic research (STARESO). Beautiful views of the sea and coasts around the peninsula, Calvi with its citadel and the mountains of the Balagne. On the point is an impressive lighthouse. On the east side a number of bays with beaches and a ruin.

stage 1 - Capo Belloni (4 km 011)

Een weg over het hogere deel van het schiereiland voert links aanhoudend naar het hoogste punt: Capo Belloni. Vanaf hier heb je mooie uitzichten op zee, het schiereiland, de kusten ten oosten en ten zuiden en de bergen van de Balagne.

stage 2 - Punta Revellata (2 km 323)

Wandeling naar het puntje van de Punta Revellata. Op de punt staat een prachtige vuurtoren. De weg loopt hier vlak onderlangs. Het is aardig om nog even naar het haventje en hoofdgebouw van de STARESO te lopen. Het is gebouwd volgens een organische bouwstijl en is van de hand van architect Claude Strebelle.

stage 3 - Spaggia dell’Alga (4 km 448)

Terug volgen we een lager gelegen pad langs de oostelijke kustlijn. Het voert langs diverse kleinere strandjes, om uiteindelijk uit te komen bij het grotere strand aan de Alga baai waar zich ook een bar bevindt. Vanaf hier klim je terug naar de parkeerplaats.
Over dit pad heb je voortdurend uitzicht over de Golfe de la Revellata en op de citadel van Calvi.
