This walk follows the Way of St James Via Lemovicensis (GR654) between Lalobbe and Château-Porcien. We walk through rural areas on paths, country roads and quiet roads. The first part is relatively flat, we follow the river La Vaux, which we cross a number of times or walk along for a while.
From Lalobbe we first walk to La Neuville-lès-Wasigny. We follow La Vaux further to Wasigny. In the center of the village we find the historic monument Halle de Wasigny, a covered market place. South of the village we pass the former station of Wasigny.
At Justine-Herbigny we walk a little further along La Vaux. Arriving at the road, we cross La Vaux at a water mill. We walk through the village and then into a hilly landscape, Les Monts de Sery. We walk to a viewpoint on the highest peak, Côte de Sainfoin (179m). We descend to the village of Sery. We follow the D35 to Hauteville. Just before we get there we cross La Vaux again.
After Hauteville we walk on country roads over hills with a wind farm on top. We descend to Château-Porcien where we end the walk at the Place de l'Hôtel de Ville.
