Saint-Jean-de-Luz

The walk starts through the shopping street Rue Léon Gambetta (pedestrian area). Via the Louis XIV square we arrive at the port of Saint-Jean-de-Luz at the mouth of the Nivelle river. At the Feux du Port lighthouse, we climb the embankment that protects the center of Saint-Jean-de-Luz from the waves of the Atlantic Ocean. We walk over the dike to the Pointe de Sainte-Barbe. On the left we have a view of the bay and the sandy beach of Grande Plage. At the Pointe de Sainte-Barbe we can enjoy a panoramic view of the city, coast and ocean. We descend to the dike and follow it back to the center.
