Route: Buttenberg - Helminghausen - Diemelsee

You walk from Wanderparkplatz Buttenberg on a forest road through a spruce forest. You walk along the Köpfchen (610m). A little further you arrive at the Schützhütte Buttenberg. You walk further through the forest. When you walk out of the forest you have a view of the Eisenberg and the half-timbered village of Helminghausen. In the village you walk to the 42 meter high sheet pile wall of the Diemelsee dating from 1923. You walk along the Diemelsee for a while until you walk back to the forest at Am Fresenberg. From there you walk back to the starting point.
