Circular walk on the Hondsrug
From the village of Gasselte you walk to the Drouwenerzand nature reserve. There you walk across the heath along a sand drift and along juniper berries.
The walk continues on country roads and grass paths to Bronneger. In Bronneger you walk past a burial mound from the Bronze Age. Then you walk past three dolmen that are more than 5000 years old. A little further away are two dolmen from the Bronze Age.
You walk to the village of Drouwen. There you also walk past two dolmen.
You walk under the highway and walk further through the forests of Drouwen and Gasselte. You pass another burial mound, which is 4000 years old.
Via the Heerenkampweg you walk under the highway again and you go back to the village of Gasselte.
