Route: Ees - Exloo

Circular walk on the Hondsrug.

The walk starts in the village of Ees. From there you walk to the forests of Boswachterij Exloo. You walk past a group of burial mounds, which are known as ’De Zeven Bergjes’. They were raised during the Iron Age.
A little further on you pass burial mounds again.

You walk further along forest paths and you arrive in the village of Exloo. Then you walk across fields, where you can see the slope of the Hondsrug. You arrive at a sand excavation: Zandgat Kremer.

Back in the forest you pass the resistance monument of Exloo.
You walk further to Hunebed D30 and then to a burial mound from the Bronze Age.

You arrive at the Buiner veld with forests and heathland. From there you walk back to Ees.
