Langelo

Walk through the Langeloërduinen and the village of Langelo.

The Langeloërduinen form a landscape of wooded shifting sands with remnants of heath. The area is located north of Norg.

The walk goes past the Schillenveen, a fen with moorland. We walk on the Oosterweg, a former sheep drift. To the left we look out over the Looakkers, arable land and meadows with hedgerows.

In the esdorp Langelo we walk over the Schoolbrink and the Westerbrink. Along the Hoofdweg we see monumental farms. We walk past the colossal installations of the underground gas storage of the NAM (UGS Norg). We pass through the brook valley of the Aa or Groote Diep, the Langelosche Stukken, fields and meadows with hedgerows.

With a path through the Langeloërduinen we return to the Norgerberg.
