Route: Beilen - Ruinen

From the station, you'll walk through Beilen. You cross the Linthorst Homankanaal and continue to the hamlet of Terhorst, after which you walk through the Terhorsterzand nature reserve. After crossing the highway, you'll enter Dwingelderveld National Park. You'll walk through forests and past fens to the Achter 't Zaand sheepfold. From there, you'll continue across the Dwingeloosche Heide heathland. Finally, you'll pass the Dwingelderveld Visitor Center. From there, you'll continue to the Zaandplatte windmill and the village of Ruinen.
