Circular walk from the Frisian village of Ferwert.
The walk leaves Ferwert in a south-westerly direction with a path over a dyke. Just before the end we bend south to a park with a forest. A road between the fields brings us to the Burmaniafeart. We follow this south to the stream De Traan. From here we follow a trail through the meadows to the Ferwerter Feart. We walk through the meadows in a northerly direction along this canal.
We arrive at Hegebeintum and follow a path over the highest mound of Friesland. If you want to view the church on the mound inside, you can report to the visitor center at the bottom of the mound. We then take a look at the Harsta Hoeve. We walk in a northerly direction until we reach the Wadden Sea dike. We walk across the dike. If we look to the north, we first see a considerable amount of land outside the dikes. Behind it is the Wadden Sea visible and also the Wadden Island Ameland.
A road between the fields and meadows takes us back to Ferwert.
