Circular walk, 17 km
From the parking lot, you'll walk across the Aekingerzand, crossing heathlands, sand drifts, and past fens. Continue to Appelscha, passing the Bosbergtoren, a 33-meter-high observation tower. Then, along the Aekingaweg through rural areas, you'll reach Terwisscha, home to the Drents-Friese Wold Outdoor Information Center. Continue to Elsloo, passing Canadameer (Aekingermeer). Then, follow paths back to the parking lot.
