Bellingwolde

Circular walk, 15 km

Route: Bellingwolde

Walk through and around Bellingwolde, a village with many monumental manor farms and few villas. The route goes through the H.Kemperpark, with the Leidijks bridge over the B.L. Tijdens canal, through the hamlet De Lethe, which is surrounded by a nature reserve. Near De Lethe, two defensive works were laid out in French times (1797): a redoubt (a small field slope) and a redan-shaped flêche (open fieldwork with protruding corners). The area is dominated by fields.
