Route: Katwoude - Zedde

You walk a short distance over the dike from the parking lot before turning to Achterdichting. There you will pass the De Kathammer windmill. You walk on until you cross the N247 to the Zedde. You walk over the dike through the polder and eventually arrive at the N247, at Monnickendam. After you have crossed the road you walk on the dike along the Gouwzee. From the dike you can see Monnickendam, Marken and Volendam. On the other side of the dike there are various kolks inside the dike (water puddles created by dike breaches) with year indication.
