Walk through the eastern part of the inner city of Amsterdam.
You walk across the Oosterdok peninsula that forms the mouth of the IJ tunnel. The Nemo Science Museum is located above the tunnel mouth. Then along the Oudeschans on the border of the Nieuwmarkt neighborhood. You reach the Amstel river via the Zwanenburgwal. Follow the river in a southerly direction just until you reach the Nieuwe Prinsengracht. Via the Nieuwe Keizersgracht you arrive in the Plantagebuurt, which is largely occupied by the Artis zoo.
You return to the Oosterdok via the Entrepotdok and the Nieuwe Herengracht.
