Amsterdam Waterleidingduinen De Oase

Circular walk, 17 km

Route: Amsterdam Waterleidingduinen De Oase

On this walk you will certainly encounter fallow deer. You will also be able to spot the necessary species of waterfowl on this water-rich route. And if you are lucky, you will also see a fox.

You walk across a plank path to the visitor center De Oranjekom, located in a beautifully restored pumping station. You cross the Noordoost Canal to reach the straight Van der Vliet Canal via forest and dune. We follow this for a while. After a crossing through the dunes, we arrive at a winding canal that we follow completely. A straight channel again follows a curvy channel. We pass the pond Zwaneplas.

We follow alternate paths through the dunes and along channels. The last part goes through the forest again and we walk along a beautiful winding beech lane.
