Overveen - Zandvoort

You walk from the parking lot of the visitor center De Kennemerduinen through the Middenduin to the Meertje van Bundert. That's where the Wisent lookout point is. Then you walk further through the Middenduin to the Duinlustweg. You follow the Visscherspad and then you arrive at the Wisentenpad.
This path runs through the Kraansvlak. A herd of wisents lives in this area. The wisent is also called the European bison and is an endangered species. This herd can be seen regularly from the path.
After the Wisentenpad you follow different paths through the dunes of the Kennemerland National Park until you arrive at the visitor center again.

NB! Due to the breeding season, the Wisentenpad is closed from March 1 to September 1. During this period you follow a path through the Wurmenveld and the Duinerpieperpad, right along the Kraanvlak.
