Zandvoort

Zuid-Kennemerland National Park

Circular walk, 9 km

Route: Zandvoort

You walk from the station in Zandvoort aan Zee to the beach. You walk about two kilometers on the beach. Then cross the Boulevard and walk onto the Wisentenpad. This path runs through the Kraansvlak. In this area lives a herd of Wisents. The wisent is also called the European bison and is an endangered species. This herd can be seen regularly from the trail.
After the Wisentenpad you will return to Zandvoort and walk back to the station.

NB! Due to the breeding season, the Wisentenpad is closed from March 1 to September 1. During this period you follow the Duinpieperpad and a path through the Wurmenveld, right along the Kraanvlak.
