Reeuwijkse Plassen

Green Heart

Circular walk, 16 km

Route: Reeuwijkse Plassen

Walk on narrow roads and paths through the Reeuwijkse Plassen. With the exception of the Broekveld / Vettenbroek lake, it is a former peat extraction area and thus peat lakes.

We walk on a beach and later on a path between the Reeuwijkse Hout recreation area and the Broekvelden sand extraction lake. Then over the Lecksdijk between the lakes Vettenbroek, Gravekoop and Klein Vogelenzang. We walk across Ree between the lakes Groot Vogelenzang, Nieuwenbroek, Vrijhoef, Klein Elfhoeven and 's-Gravenbroek. Via the Knossendijk between Elfhoeven and Klein Elfhoeven we arrive in the recreation area Goudse Hout. We go a short distance through the built-up area of Gouda and return with a path along the Oostboezem to the lake Elfhoeven. We return to the Reeuwijkse Hout via the Zoetendijk between the lakes of 's-Gravenbroek, Groot- and Klein Vogelenzang, Broekvelden / Vettenbroek, Ravensberg and Sloene.
