Linear walk, 22 km
You walk from the station through Leiden to the Rijn-Schiekanaal. Then you walk along the canal over the Vlietweg to Voorschoten. You walk through the village to the Park Rosenburgh. Then you walk over the Horst en Voordelaan and the Raaphorstlaan to Wassenaar. In Park Rust en Vreugd you get a view of the castle Oud Wassenaar. The walk continues through the estates De Hartenkamp, Backershagen, Beukhaghe and Park de Paauw before you reach the residential area of Wassenaar.
The walk from the Nonnenbrug over the Rapenburg canal in Leiden to the Horstlaan entrance of the De Horsten estate in Voorschoten is part of the Marskramerpad, which runs from the German Bad Bentheim to The Hague.
