Route: Botshol - Waver - Winkel - Vinkeveense Plassen

The walk starts in the marsh nature of Wavershoek. You walk to the Fort in Botshol and you arrive at the River Waver. You walk along the dyke along the river Waver and the river Winkel around the nature reserve Botshol. Along the way you have wide views. You can see the buildings of Amsterdam in the distance.

You make a small trip through the meadows along Fort aan de Winkel. Next you walk further along the Winkel until you walk through the meadows to the Vinkeveense Plassen.

The walk continues over a path between the Vinkeveense Plassen and the Grote Wije. Then you walk back along the Botsholsedijk to Waverhoek.

The route is not accessible during the breeding season (15 March - 15 June).
