A walk near Mértola.

You start at Poço dos 2 Irmãos. From there you walk up through a forest with a wide sandy road. You have a beautiful view of Mértola. You walk on the dirt road along the Guadiana until you reach the gate of Herdade de Bombera. Please note: the gate closes at 4.30 p.m. and is also closed all weekend.

This gate gives access to a vineyard and you continue your way to the mouth of the Carreiras river. From there you walk the same way back to the gate.

At the gate you walk to the left. You walk on a country road and over the IC27 until you walk back with a forest path to Poço dos 2 Irmãos.
