Bens - Salgueiros - Pomarão
Circular walk, 16 km
Walk from Bens to Pomarão on the route of the former mine railway. Sometimes the route deviates from the railway route.There are 7 tunnels on the route. The stretch between the 5th and the 6th tunnel is difficult to pass. During the route to Pomarão you have to scramble every now and then, because the bridges on the railway line have been destroyed.
Pomarão lies on the Rio Guadiana, which forms the border between Portugal and Spain.
The way back goes up via an asphalt road. At the 1st tunnel the route joins the way again.
