Circular walk, 3 km
A short walk through the old city of Mértola.
You walk up the narrow streets to the Igreja de Nossa Senhora da Assunçào. From the church you first walk to the Necropolis, the antique burial ground. Then you walk to the Castelo de Mértola, which is also a museum. From the castle you have beautiful views of the surroundings.
You walk down narrow streets again, until you reach the Guadiana. You walk back from there.
