Circular walk, 17 km
You take the ferry Cais das Quatro Aguas to Ilha de Tavira. There you walk on the beach to Praia do Barril. You walk past the Cemitério das âncoras (graveyard of anchors) and walk in the direction of Santa Luzia. You then walk along the tourist train line between the beach and the village. You cross the Canal de Tavira and walk further along the canal to Santa Luzia. You walk through the village and pass the harbor. Then you leave the village and walk between the salt pans to Tavira. You then walk through Tavira to the Río Gilão. Then you walk via the Estr. des 4 Águas, again along the salt pans, back to the starting point.
