Bruchhauser Steine

Sauerland

Circular walk, 14 km

Route: Bruchhauser Steine

A short climb brings you from Bruchhausen to 4 rocky points that protrude a few dozen meters above the forested hill: the Bruchhauser Steine. You can climb the first one called Feldstein. On top you have a great view over the hills and valleys of the northern part of the Rothaargebirge. The walk continues over a part of the Rothaarsteig, a long-distance walk that crosses the entire mountain range. Arriving at the Ginsterkopf, overlooking Elleringhausen, you descend back into the valley of the Gierskoppbach. In Elleringhausen you cross the brook and along a number of country roads you return to Bruchhausen. During the walk there is always a view of the impressive Bruchhauser Steine.
