You walk from the spring water town of Gerolstein to the Munterley, a steep protruding rock. There you have a wide view of Gerolstein and the surrounding area. Then you walk through a landscape of cliffs, rocks and forests to the Buchenlochhöhle, a 36 meter long karst cave. The walk continues along the Papenkaule, a dry crater of a volcano that was active about 10,000 years ago. Then you walk along the Juddekirchhof, a Celtic-Roman temple (124). A little further you will see the Kasselburg (1291). From there you walk back to the starting point via the Hustley.
