Alghero: Punta Giglio

Porto Conte Regional Natural Park

Circular walk, 9 km

Route: Alghero: Punta Giglio

From the entrance of the Parco di Porto Conte, you follow the wide path. After a while, you turn off and enter the forest on a narrower path. The vegetation is varied and typical of the region: pine trees, dwarf palms, cypresses, agaves and broom bushes. You walk around the Monte Rudedu. Then you come back to the wide path and continue to the Punta del Giglio. There you will find the Museo Ambientale di Punta Giglio with restored remains of the coastal defense battery and the Torre del Giglio. You have a view of the Capo Caccio on the other side of the Baia di Porto Conte. Then you walk along the path along the coast back to the entrance of the park.
