Castelmola: Monte Veneretta
Circular walk, 7 km
You walk from the parking lot in Castelmola up the Via Annunziata. You continue to follow the road up. The road turns into a wide path, which winds upwards in hairpin bends. You cut off the bends with stairs. You have beautiful views of Etna. With a narrow path you reach the top of Monte Veneretta, with panoramic views of the surroundings. Then follows a pathless descent. Further on you reach another path, which leads to a road. You descend further via this road and then over a path to end up at the Salita della Scalazza which takes you back to Castelmola.
