Route: Castricum: Duin en Bosch

You walk from the station in Castricum past bulb fields to the ’Duin en Bosch’ estate. The provincial insane asylum was built here in 1903. The area is now in transition. You can still see various old buildings. A large part of Duin and Bosch has been designated as a national monument.

The walk continues through the inner dunes of the North Holland Dune Reserve. You walk along lakes, through the dunes and along forest paths.

From the ’Hof van Kijk Uit’ you walk back to the station.
