Route: Embalse de Riofrío - Puerto de la Quesera

The circular walk starts at the Embalse de Riofrío, a reservoir.

The ascending path goes through meadows and through forests. A little higher the path goes past bushes. The views of the Riaza valley are beautiful.

Finally the path arrives at the col. Here too the views of the surroundings are beautiful. The walk goes over the col and descends to the Puerto de la Quesera.

From the Puerta you walk back over the Camino Viejo de Peñalba de la Sierra. The path goes past meadows and rocks and beautiful views.

A little lower the path goes into the Hayedo de Riofrío de Riaza, a beech forest. After the forest, the path runs along the Río Riaza to the Embalse de Riofrío.
