Walk from the Santa María del Paular monastery (1390) to the waterfalls in the Aguilón stream, which flows into the Lozoya river.
The hike starts on the Puente del Perdón, near the Monasterio de Santa María de El Paular. You first walk to the Presillas de Rascafría, a natural pool where you can swim. The walk then follows a wide sandy road, with a view of the Peñalara. The path continues up through a pine forest until you reach the Arroyo del Aguilón O Navahondilla. You cross the stream and follow the path along the stream up to the Cascadas del Purgatorio.
