Valle del Lozoya: Alameda - Rascafría - Santa Ana

Sierra de Guadarrama national park

Circular walk, 14 km

Route: Valle del Lozoya: Alameda - Rascafría - Santa Ana

The circular walk starts in the village of Alameda del Valle. You walk to the next village: Oteruelo del Valle. There you will pass a "Potro de herrar", an antique tool for the blacksmith to hold the cattle during shoeing. The walk then goes to Rascafría.

From Rascafría you walk over the Camino Natural del Valle del Lozoya. Along the way there are always views of the villages in the valley and the surrounding mountains of the Sierra de Guaderrama. The Peñalara is always in sight.

The walk arrives at the Ermita de Santa Ana, an 18th-century chapel.
After the Ermita the walk goes back to Alameda del Valle. You will arrive in the village with a bridge over the Río Lozoya.
