Embalse de Pinilla

Walk around Embalse de Pinilla.

The walk starts at the Parking Presa de Pinilla. You walk to the ETAP Pinilla (waterworks) and you cross the Río Lozoya.

You walk along the banks of Embalse de Pinilla. You look out over the lake and you have a view of Lozoya and the mountains of the Guadarrama.

After a while you will pass the Yacimientos del Calvero de la Higuera, archaeological excavations in El Valle de los Neandertales.

You walk via Calle del Embalse to Pinilla del Valle. You walk through the village across the Plaza del Gobernador and past the Parroquia de San Miguel Arcángel.

Then you end up on Calle Dehesa. You follow this path, which later runs along the shore of the lake, to Lozoya. There you continue on Calle Fuente Herando.

The walk continues along the lake, where you again have beautiful views.

You walk on to ETAP Pinilla and you then walk back to the parking.
