Puerto de Cotos - Refugio Zabala - Laguna Grande de Peñalara

The circular walk starts on the Puerto Cotos. You walk past the visitor center. If you look around you see the Siete Picos mountain top.

You walk up to Mirador de la Gitana, an observation platform.

The path then goes up zigzagging until the exit for Refugio Zabala. There you walk through the mountain massif along a rocky path up to the Refugio. From there you have beautiful views of the area.

The rocky path goes down behind the Refugio. You see the Laguna Grande de Peñalara.

You continue the walk on the Camina de la Laguna until you reach the Arroyo de la Laguna exit. There you walk through the mountain landscape with panoramic views. You see the Refugio Zabala lying against the rocks.

You follow the path until you reach the Mirador de la Gitana again. From there you walk back to the Puerto de Cotos.
