Hike through the Sierra de la Muela.
stage 1 - forth (10 km 990)
Start the hike at the beach entrance of Playa de Isla Plana. You'll walk towards the Sierra de la Muela, first along Rambla Honda de la Calera. Then, between the greenhouses, you'll cross Camillo de Fuera. Arriving at Rambla del Cañar, you'll enter the Sierra de la Muela, Cabo Tiñoso y Roldán Regional Park. Follow Rambla del Cañar until the point where the road and the stream diverge. Along the way, you'll have views of several peaks of the Sierra de la Muela. And especially impressive: the view to the right of the steep, white cliffs of Peña Blanca.
The road continues to climb until you reach the highest point at Collado de la Cruz (339m). From here, you descend via Ríncon de Tallante until you reach the parish church of San Antonio de Padua in Ermita de Tallante.
stage 2 - back (10 km 715)
Return via the same route. Don't forget to enjoy the magnificent view of the Peñas Blancas from the Collado de la Cruz. About a kilometer further on, you can take a path to the left. This leads past the church of Ermita Nuestra Señora Virgen de la Luz. A little further on, pick up the path through Rambla del Cañar again. Return to the starting point of the hike at Isla Plana beach via the same route you took on the way there.
