From the coastal village of Villaricos, you'll walk to the village of Las Herrerias, where you'll find the remains of a former mining area exploited by the La Allianza mining company.
The walk starts along the beach, where you'll soon see the Torre de Cristal, an 18th-century fortification. You'll then take a path that runs alongside the Río Alamanzora, which has been canalized here. A little further on, the path follows the Rambla de las Canalejas, offering views of the Sierra Almagrera. Continuing on, you'll pass Luis Siret's former home. Then, you'll continue through Pozo la Alianza, a large open-cast mine. You'll wander through the streets of Las Herrerias. You'll also make a detour to Castillete del Pozo Minero de la Alianza, a lookout tower offering excellent views of the entire area. The walk continues to Poblado Minero El Artenal, a former mining village. You walk back to Villaricos along and through the Rambla de las Canalejas.
