You walk from the Área Recreativa La Ladera on a hiking trail. You walk around two large rocks: Las Grajas (1049m) and Tajo Algarín (1067m). Halfway through the route you get a view of the reservoir Embalse de Zahara-El Gastor. A little further the rock Las Grajas comes into view on your right and a little further also the rock Tajo Algarín. The trail ends at CA-9114. You follow a footpath along this road. You make a detour to the viewpoint Los Peñoncillos. You continue to follow the footpath until the exit to the CA-0491, which brings you back to La Ladera.
