Camino de la Ermita de Hontanares. You make a circular walk from Riaza along the Ermita de le Virgen de Hontaneres.

stage 1 - Riaza - Ermita de Hontanares (6 km 070)

deYou walk through Riaza and walk out of the village on Calle Santiago Apóstol.

You will soon come to the Río Riaza; you cross that. The walk continues on a wide sandy road. Along the way you have a view of the Sierra de Ayllon. In the distance you can see Ríofrio de Riaza.

The road continues and you get a view of Riaza.

You arrive at the Ermita de la Virgen de Hontanares. This sanctuary was built in the 17th century and is one of the spiritual centers in the region.

In front of the Ermita is a large lawn with trees and picnic tables. There is a wide view.sc-nl

stage 2 - Ermita de Hontanares - Riaza (4 km 525)

You leave the Ermita de la Virgen de Hontanara along an iron cross.
You descend to Riaza via forest paths and country roads.

In Riaza you walk along the beautiful Plaza Mayor to the starting point of the walk.
