This walk in the Parque Natural Sierra de Grazalema goes through a Spanish silver fir forest, in Spanish "pinsapar". The special microclimate has created a unique forest. The Spanish fir (Abies pinsapo, Pinsapo) is found in the wild only in this part of Spain (Sierra de Grazalema, Sierra de las Nieves, Serranía de Ronda), at altitudes between 900 and 1700 meters above sea level. The Sendero del Pinsapar goes from the parking lot to Benamahoma and is 12 kilometers long. This walk covers the first part.
You walk from the parking lot up to the Puerto de Las Cumbres. There the path continues. You have beautiful views. You keep walking until you reach the forest.
You walk back the same way.
