Atajate - Alpandeire

Blessed Fray Leopoldo was a monk of the Order of Friars Minor Capuchins. He has developed the route that goes from the station of Jimera de Libar to Alpandeire. He lived in Granada and if he wanted to visit his birthplace Alpandeire he took the train to Jimera de Libar. He walked from the station to Alpandeire. This part of the route goes from Atajate to Alpandeire.

stage 1 - forth (5 km 812)

You walk from Atajate on trails down to the Arroyo de Audaza. You walk through the stream bed. On the other side the path goes up again. You keep walking until you arrive in Alpandeire. The Monumento a Fray Leopoldo de Alpandeire is located there.

stage 2 - back (5 km 812)

You walk back the same way.
